WorkOne Re-Employment Services

WorkOne offers information sessions and activities to help you prepare for new employment opportunities. These services include:

  • Workshops: Get valuable tips on how to get noticed by employers and land the job you really want! Workshop topics include Winning Ways Job Search, Resume Development, Interview Techniques, and Internet Job Search.

  • Computer classes: Strengthen your computer knowledge or learn the basics in one of our WorkOne computer classes.

  • Federal Bonding: Fidelity Bonds are a unique tool to help a job applicant secure and retain a job when an employer cannot obtain commercial bonding for the applicant, which is a condition of employment, and are for the sole purpose of covering the liability of the employer against loss for an applicant.

WorkOne tools and information will give you the competitive edge you need to be successful in your job search. These include: a computer lab, Internet access, fax machine, copier, telephone, and information about high wage and high demand careers.

Looking for a new Job or Career?

WorkOne Western Indiana serves job seekers at all stages of their career.  

Whether looking for your first job, considering an employment change, or developing your career plan, WorkOne can be your source for information, referrals, and other services.  All of these services are free of charge and confidentiality is assured.

You do not have to be unemployed to access WorkOne services.   While some programs require a visit to your WorkOne Center, lots of helpful information and career-development tools are available online.

You can look for jobs, in numerous industries, and every level.  Use Indiana Career Connect to identify skills, interests and experience to create a customized job matching profile specifically for you. Learn about education, training or other support that may help you get a better job.

Use Tools To Measure and Improve Your Skills

WorkOne administers WorkKeys assessments for many local employers.  WorkKeys assessments measure basic skills such as reading, math, locating information, teamwork and applied technologies. We can also provide instructional support to improve your skills prior to taking these tests.

Resources for Job Seekers

Make your WorkOne Center the next stop for Job Seeker Resources such as assistance with job searches, help in writing resumes and cover letters, free use of our computers, and our onsite Information Resource Area.

Programs for Special Circumstances

Are you a military veteran, over 55, or a person with disabilities that affect employability? Have you lost your job through no fault of your own? We may have a program especially for you. Ask your Employment Advisor for additional information.

Explore Education and Training

You may be eligible for additional tuition or training assistance to help you ge the skills, knowledge or certification needed to improve your career.  Please visit your local WorkOne to discuss whether you qualify.
