WorkOne Re-Employment Services

WorkOne offers information sessions and activities to help you prepare for new employment opportunities. These services include:

  • Workshops: Get valuable tips on how to get noticed by employers and land the job you really want! Workshop topics include Winning Ways Job Search, Resume Development, Interview Techniques, and Internet Job Search.

  • Computer classes: Strengthen your computer knowledge or learn the basics in one of our WorkOne computer classes.

  • Federal Bonding: Fidelity Bonds are a unique tool to help a job applicant secure and retain a job when an employer cannot obtain commercial bonding for the applicant, which is a condition of employment, and are for the sole purpose of covering the liability of the employer against loss for an applicant.

WorkOne Job Search Tools

WorkOne tools and information will give you the competitive edge you need to be successful in your job search. These include: a computer lab, Internet access, fax machine, copier, telephone, and information about high wage and high demand careers.

WorkOne offers numerous features to help to assess your skills.

WorkKeys

Workkeys is a national testing system used by many local employers.  WorkKeys offers employers 11 different tests which can be used to help employers identify the best candidates for their positions.  The most common tests given by employers in our area are:

  • Applied Math
  • Graphic Literacy
  • Workplace Documents
  • Workplace Observation
  • Applied Technology
National Career Readiness Certificate

In addition to the specific testing requested by employers, WorkOne also offers its clients 18 years and older the opportunity to complete the testing required to obtain the National Career Readiness Certificate.  This certificate tests clients on:

  • Applied Mathematics
  • Graphic Literacy
  • Workplace Documents

After completing the National Career Readiness Certificate test, you will receive a certificate indicating your level of performance:

  • Platinum
  • Gold
  • Silver
  • Bronze

Ask you local Employment Advisor about the benefits of taking the National Career Readiness Certificate test.

WIN

Before taking a WorkKeys test or testing for the National Career Readiness Certificate, you can sign up for our online practice program.  WIN is a computerized practice program that will allow you to practice these topics.  By practicing, you will be better prepared to succeed on the test.

www.indianacareerconnect.com offers several assessment tools which will help you identify and highlight your skills to an employer.

The Test of Adult Basic Education

(TABE) covers math, reading and language comprehension. TABE is designed to measure achievement of basic skills commonly found in adult basic education curriculum and taught in instructional programs.
